Candidate Bio

Michael Ceci is an Internet Technology consultant for a payment processing company in Wilming-
ton, DE and is currently completing a Masters degree in Psychology at West Chester University.

Mike's family moved to Aldan when he was eight in order to be closer to his grandparents and to Aldan Union Church. Following his graduation from The Christian Academy in Brookhaven, Mike attended Arcadia University for two years, completing his BA in English at Eastern University in 1990. The job hunt took Mike first to Rosemont, then to Philadelphia, where he was employed as a grant writer at a non-profit corporation and a part-time teacher of English-as-a-Second-Language to eastern European immigrants.

As fulfilling as he found this work to be, Mike eventually decided to pursue a career path that could provide him with more sustainable creative and intellectual challenges. He returned to school in 1998 for training in client-server programming. He has enjoyed over a decade of technology development work since.

In 2006, Mike decided to become a homeowner and chose Aldan for its great community organizations, its convenient public transportation options, and his longtime family ties to the town. After getting settled, he decided to get involved in the civic associations that have helped sustain the town over the years and joined the Aldan Townwatch and the Aldan Boosters. He is now a member of the board of both organizations. In 2009, Mike also joined the Aldan Democratic Organization and is now actively working to bring innovation and fresh thinking to the borough government. He joins Paul Krueger, Sarah Robertson, and Ben Williams as candidates for Council.
